Disney Cruise Line has grown from a single ship in 1998 to an 8-vessel fleet spanning three continents. The new Disney Adventure, launching in March 2026 from Singapore, marks Disney's first dedicated Asia-Pacific homeport. Here's what each ship offers — and how to think about which one fits your trip.
Magic class · the originals
Disney Magic (1998) and Disney Wonder (1999) are the smallest in the fleet at ~2,400 guests. Their smaller scale makes them favorites for Alaska cruises (the only Disney ships that fit some Alaskan ports) and Pacific Coast / Mexican Riviera itineraries.
Dream class · the mid-fleet
Disney Dream (2011) and Disney Fantasy (2012) carry ~4,000 guests each. Disney Fantasy holds down year-round 7-night Caribbean cruises from Port Canaveral. Disney Dream rotates seasonally — typically the Mediterranean and Northern Europe in summer, then short Bahamas cruises from Florida in fall and winter.

Disney's older Magic-class ships cruise at about 21 knots; the newer Wish-class ships top out near 22 knots. The smaller Magic-class fleet is the only one that fits some Alaskan ports — which is why Disney Magic and Disney Wonder are still the Alaska ships nearly 30 years after launching.
Wish class · the modern ships
Disney Wish (2022), Disney Treasure (2024), and Disney Destiny (2025) introduced Disney's newest design language — themed atria, AquaMouse water coasters, and the Walt Disney Imagineering "storyliving" approach. All three primarily sail Caribbean and Bahamas itineraries from Florida.
Global class · the future
Disney Adventure (2026) is Disney's first 6,000-guest ship and its first dedicated Singapore-homeport vessel, running 3- and 4-night Southeast Asia cruises year-round.
Cruising with the Deaf community changed what I thought a vacation could be. The Navigator app, the captioned shows, the signing crowd at dinner — it's the most accessible vacation I've ever had.
How we use this tracker for client planning
When a family asks us about Disney Cruise Line, the fleet tracker is our first reference point. It tells us:
- What's sailing now — for last-minute Caribbean trips.
- What's sailing soon — for matching a ship's season to a family's available travel window.
- What's regionally unique — Alaska is only Magic/Wonder; Singapore is only Adventure; Mediterranean is currently Dream.
- Which ships have what features — Wish-class for AquaMouse, Magic-class for the most personal feel, Dream-class for the balance of size and scale.

About ASL access on Disney Cruise Line
Disney Cruise Line provides complimentary shared American Sign Language interpretation on U.S.-based and select European sailings. Requests must be submitted at least 60 days before sail date.
