Planning Windows Calculator
Tell us your Disney resort check-in date — we'll compute every reservation window that matters so you don't miss the moment dining opens, Lightning Lanes go on sale, or your final payment hits.
Why these windows matter.
Disney's reservation system isn't a single deadline — it's a cascade of windows, each opening at a different date relative to your arrival. Most guests don't know they exist until they miss one. This tool exists so you don't.
The 60-day dining window: the biggest one to know about
At 6:00am Eastern, exactly 60 days before your Disney resort check-in date, you become eligible to book Advance Dining Reservations for any night of your stay — including nights that are 65+ days away. Resort guests get this whole-stay window; non-resort guests must book one day at a time.
This matters because the most-loved Disney restaurants — Be Our Guest, Cinderella's Royal Table, Space 220, Topolino's breakfast character meal, signature dining at the Grand Floridian — fill within minutes of opening. If you check in on August 1, your dining window opens June 2 at 6am Eastern. Set a calendar reminder. Be logged into disneyworld.disney.go.com/dine-res at 5:55am.
ET
Exactly 60 days before your check-in date. Resort guests can book the whole trip in one sitting. Sign in 5 minutes early — the most-loved restaurants fill in under 3 minutes.
The 7-day Lightning Lane Single Pass window
Lightning Lane Single Pass is Disney's paid front-of-line access for the most-popular individual rides (Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, TRON Lightcycle / Run, Tiana's Bayou Adventure, Rise of the Resistance). Resort guests can purchase starting 7 days before check-in; off-property guests 3 days before. Inventory routinely sells out days ahead, so booking the moment your window opens (7am Eastern) is a real advantage.
The 7-day Lightning Lane Multi Pass window
Lightning Lane Multi Pass (the bundled version, formerly Genie+) now opens on the same schedule as Single Pass — 7 days before check-in for resort guests, 3 days before for off-property guests. Use it for medium-popularity rides where waits routinely exceed 45 minutes.
30-day final payment
If you booked a Walt Disney Travel Company package (room + tickets, or room + tickets + dining), final balance is typically due 30 days before arrival. Miss it and Disney can cancel your reservation outright. Room-only reservations have different deposit/cancellation terms — verify yours.
Example scenarios.
Check-in: July 18, 2026.
→ Dining opens May 19, 2026 at 6am ET — book Be Our Guest, Topolino's breakfast, and Hollywood & Vine character meal in the first 10 minutes.
→ Final payment due June 18, 2026 — your trip officially "locks in" then.
→ Lightning Lane Single Pass opens July 11, 2026 (7 days out) — buy Cosmic Rewind for your EPCOT day immediately.
→ Lightning Lane Multi Pass also opens July 11, 2026 for resort guests — book your two busiest park days first.
Check-in: October 16, 2026 (Food & Wine Festival).
→ Dining opens August 17, 2026 at 6am ET — Food & Wine season pushes EPCOT dining bookings hard. Space 220 and Le Cellier go in the first 2 minutes.
→ Final payment due September 16, 2026.
→ Run our When-to-Visit quiz if you're flexible — October has trade-offs (festival crowds vs. great weather).
Check-in: February 25, 2027 (Princess Half).
→ Dining opens December 27, 2026 at 6am ET — post-Christmas slowdown actually helps you here.
→ Race-day morning: skip late dining the night before.
→ Final payment: January 26, 2027.
→ Also see our runDisney calendar for race-specific deadlines.
How to use this tool well.
- Type your real check-in date — not your travel date. Disney's clock starts at hotel check-in.
- Add the dates to your calendar immediately. Especially the 60-day dining open — set an alarm for 5:55am Eastern the day of.
- Note the events list below the calculator. Upcoming holidays, festivals, and race weekends can dramatically affect crowd levels and dining availability.
- Re-run the tool if your dates change — even a single-day shift moves every window.
The single most common reason families miss a Be Our Guest reservation isn't bad luck — it's not knowing the dining window opens at 6am Eastern. This tool eliminates that excuse.

We do this for every client.
When you book with us, we add every window to a shared calendar, set the alarms, and (where Disney allows) book dining and Lightning Lane on your behalf — at no extra cost.
